It's pretty simple – we believe in respect, equality, and accessibility for all our players and team members. Building games is not a one-man show and we believe that a community open to different voices is a community that thrives. We are dedicated to making DICE a studio where everyone feels heard.

We understand that the value of One Community is fundamental to our happiness at work and performance as a Studio. In fact, we see strength in diversity as so important that here at DICE we dedicate extra time and resources to programs that ensure a diverse and inclusive environment.

 

“I am committed to create a space where everyone that walks through the doors at DICE, be it physical or virtual, feel they have a safe space to work. Our commitment as leaders are to drive for positive change in our workplace and our industry. To build the best games our teams should represent our players - and therefore have to be a mix of backgrounds, ages, gender, and experiences.

At DICE, our strategy has to be three fold; short-, mid-, and long-term.

For the short-term we have to support our minority groups via mentoring or sponsoring new talents entering our industry, sharing our experience, and helping these talents to grow.

Mid-term we need to work on our bias though all levels from recruitment - to our development processes.

In the long term we have to educate parents and children; it is cool to work in our industry, but most important is that anybody can join us and every voice has a value here.

Throughout our work we also always make sure our values are reflected in the games we build - so they also reflect our studio that makes them, and our players that plays them.”

Our values are what we believe in. They were formed via collaboration across the entire studio with our DICErs at the forefront driving them through. Acting upon our values to help, strengthen, and grow the community around us is an essential part of DICE.

Passion with Purpose

We have an endless thirst to learn and inspire those around us with contagious enthusiasm. We use this energy to take initiative, solve problems, and never settle.

Everything Quality

We are player first, devoted to bringing extraordinary experiences to the world. We understand that the quality of what we produce begins with the quality in how we produce it. We strive for excellence in everything we do.

One Community

We are one team, supporting each other towards a common cause. We see strength in diversity and seek mutual trust across groups with different expertise and backgrounds.

Creative Innovation

We are unafraid to fail – and innovate by challenging the conventional wisdom and creating new paths for others to follow.

 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)

Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary and employee-led groups that promote diversity in the office and strive for an inclusive workplace. These groups work across all of EA with different initiatives happening on local levels as well as across all of EA. Joining an ERG gives you a network of colleagues all over the world that are passionate about diversity and inclusion and making our studios a better place.

At DICE we have three active groups onsite, Women’s Ultimate Team (WUT), Black EA Team (BEAT!), and PRIDE, with a lot of collaboration with the additional groups via virtual hangouts and other communication.

Through our ERGs we can offer our teammembers

Strong allyship: greater connection and belonging through mentorship and coaching, informative Fika (coffee break) series, and gaming club.

Partnership with external organisations: investing in networking opportunities and supporting community outreach and volunteer opportunities that serve women's causes (such as a game jam session for young game developers.)

Career development: building leadership capabilities/training programs such as speaker series, career development sessions, and mentorship program.

 

Women’s Ultimate Team (WUT) is our first, and largest, ERG - working for equal rights for all genders.

The BEAT! (Black EA Team) vision is to create a world where black talent and leadership is no longer underrepresented.

Collaborating with EA Pride ERG group, DICE participates in global Annual Pride Parade events.

We stand behind, and always show our support, to the LGBTQ+ community and have a completely open office space where everyone is welcome.

EAs annual Impact Report highlights our commitments and progress across diversity, equity and inclusion, cultural indicators, social impact, positive play, environmental sustainability and more.

Our ability to inspire the world to play is advanced by our talented teams and their continued commitment to making a positive impact. Through their dedication to creating amazing games and services, we saw the power of what we can accomplish for our players, our communities, and our company.

While we are proud of the progress we have made on these critical initiatives, this is an ongoing journey. We continue to hold ourselves accountable to our commitments, and transparently share our results.
