How did you end up at DICE?

I started out as a contractor back when it was called EA Los Angeles. Several of my colleagues from school were interning and helped me get in, but the project was canceled shortly after. I was brought back a few years later as a contractor again for Medal of Honor: Warfighter. My contract ended for that project and several months later, I was brought back again after DICE had adopted the LA studio.

What is the best thing about working at DICE?

The people. Everyone is so great to work with – very friendly and welcoming environment here. The amount of talent in the building is extremely motivating and feeds my drive to constantly push myself. As an artist, I think it’s important to have a healthy appetite to keep learning. The culture and everyone on the team provide a nurturing environment with plenty of encouragement and inspiration to keep growing.

What games have you been addicted to and how did you get clean?

World of Warcraft and League of Legends. Those games got to the point where if my friends wanted to contact me and I wasn’t answering calls or texts, they would have to logon and contact me through there.

What did you do 10 years ago?

I was still in college 10 years ago, just attending a community college and trying to figure what to get into. I knew it had to be something creative, but wasn’t sure exactly what yet.. It was around 10 years ago when I applied to an art school.

My L.A.

Favorite Place:

There is a little hiking trail in Palos Verdes right along the cliffs. Walking along that trail while the whales are migrating is really soothing.

Culture Spot:

Going to 3rd Street is usually entertaining. There’s always something interesting going on.

Elena’s Greek in Glendale.

Anything you can think that you love about LA:

When you live in LA, there is such a great variety of activities. There was on 3-day weekend where I went snowboarding on a Saturday, the San Diego Safari Park on a Sunday and a Cirque du Soleil show in Santa Monica on a Monday.
